The Most Instagram-Worthy Indira Nagar Restaurants

Whether your are in the mood for some excellent food or punchy cocktails, the interiors of a place add so much to the overall dine-in experience. So many Michelin-starred places around the world tailor the entire ambiance to their food so that it is one integrated experience. That being said, if all you are looking for are places to get uber-cool Instagram snaps, this list is for you. Indira Nagar continues to be one of Bengaluru's most loved food hotspots and here is a list of some of the most Instagram-Worthy restaurants in Indira Nagar.

1. Secret Stories: One of the most Instagram-worth places in my opinion, this place has tonnes of gorgeous spots to get that perfect click. From a towering bar, to funky little spots all over the place, this place is as gorgeous, as it is quirky.

2. Nevermind: The dine-in experience at Nevermind starts as soon as you cross the threshold of the entrance. You are immediately transported into an eclectic, futuristic scene with a beautiful greenish open-bar setup and cozy, secluded spots all over the place. Nevermind's interiors are modern and elegant. (Catch the full review here)

3. Indira Nagar Social: This outlet of the ever-popular Social's chain from Impressario boasts of interiors straight out of the plan out a well-appointed Bungalow. It is in fact, housed in a repurposed bungalow. The entire space is divided into spaces based on a room in the house. This place has a casual setting on the lower levels, with a dining, living and library space. On the first floor lies a major crowd-puller: SOCIAL’s first-ever speakeasy-inspired bar. And lastly, the second floor is almost like a movie set from different eras, each with a story waiting to be told. Instagrammable? Check. Quirky? Check.

4. Hopshaus Tropical Taproom & Kitchen: This is their second outlet in the city after their Whitefield one. Located on the second floor above the ever-popular Sanchez and Sriracha, this outlet continues the botanical theme. The place is dotted with plants all around, and the bar here is one of my fav. spots. Complete with a neon-sign, with an Insta-worthy tropical mural, the perfect background for all your pictures after a good time here.

5. Daddy's: With a name like that, you have got to visit this place to take in all of it's quirkiness. This place has a unique flip bar counter that is one of a kind in the country. It has super-quirky spots and one of my favs. is the super-eclectic private dining room with quirky, full-length portraits of Hitler, Napoleon and the like, adorning one side of the room. The terrace ambience is also pretty special and Bengaluru's weather makes it even better.

6. Bhola and Blonde: Another fairly new entrant to Indira Nagar, the plush interiors of Bhola and Blonde are beautiful and opulent.. The gorgeous interiors of Bhola & Blonde are a depiction of the exotic east with heritage Indian design elements and peacock motifs all over. It is almost like a scene out of a painting with peacock blue tones, muted greens, ethnic bird cages & old-world tungsten lamps. Definitely on the list of quirky and Instagram-ready Indira Nagar spots.

Monkey Bar - 'Next Stop Kolkata' Street Food Festival

Monkey Bar Decor Yellow Taxi
Street Food is an excellent way to gauge local flavors and preferences, primarily because the abundance of some and paucity of other ingredients leads vendors to experiment and come up with dishes that most locals will like. Kolkata is a place where food has had significant influences from Mughal and British cuisines, having been at the center of many a revolution. A street food festival celebrating Kolkata Street Food at an upscale pub in Bangalore seemed an unlikely place to get a taste of such a rich cultural diversity, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful rendition of some classics at the ‘Next Stop Kolkata’ street food festival at Monkey Bar.

Located in the hotbed of the Namma Ooru dining and pub scene, Monkey Bar at Indira Nagar is not hard to find. The entrance is flanked by a Yellow Ambassador Taxi Cutout, a throwback to a time when Uber and Ola were not even in existence, and travelling in these ‘Peela’ Calcutta Taxis was almost considered a luxury for the masses. As we settle down at our seat on the first floor of this neat space, early on a Saturday afternoon, tiny touches such as labelling of sections of the pub to various food stops of Kolkata, as the smell of freshly fried hing-er kochuri and ghooghni comes wafting from a nearby table, a wee bit of nostalgia does creep in.

Cocktails:
They have a few cocktails crafted specially for this festival and here are the ones we really liked.

Thanda Cha, Puchka Paani Capriojka, Peara PyaaraPuchka Paani Capriojka: Vodka, ‘Gondhoraj lebu’(a particularly flavourful lemon variant found in abundance in West Bengal), mint leaves and a delicious, tangy, slightly spicy & sweet, puchka paani make up this super-refreshing cocktail. Superbly balanced and fairly potent, this is my favorite from the lot.

Thaanda Cha: Revolutions, political or otherwise have been known to have been incepted over a cup of lal cha(red tea or tea without milk) in a Calcutta. This cocktail is a tribute to local tea shops in Kolkata. Darjeeling Tea, vodka and a few spices like cinnamon & star anise make up this lovely cocktail. People who have had cha in Kolkata will especially appreciate this cocktail.

Moong Dal Pakodi Chaat
Food:
This menu has been crafted very well, and while not all Kolkata street food is fit pub fare, they have adapted it brilliantly. Here are my picks from the menu:

Pork MomosVardaan Market Moong Dal Pakodi Chaat: This dish is reminiscent of the chaat that is served on the streets of Kolkata as ‘North Indian’ chaat. Crisp, deep-fried Moong Dal wadis, topped with a sweet-spicy mint and tamarind chutney, yogurt and fried curry leaves. This dish will be loved equally by vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike! I am told that they so designed this dish that it stays crispy for a longer duration, so that you can have it as a bar-snack, and I believe them!

Elgin Road Pork Momos: Momos as a street food in Kolkata have been around way before ‘dimsums’ became a fad, and piping hot steamed momos can be found at most street corners here. The version here is served in a tangy, spicy smoked tomato chutney. The well-stuffed dumplings were particularly well made and dipping them in that tangy chutney made them extra succulent!

Crumb FriedFish RollBeadon Street Fish Roll: You know that it is truly Bengali food, when the bhetki(Sea Bass) is used in a fish roll. No, this is not a roti/parantha encased roll, but these are crumb-fried ones, a smoked bhetki fillet stuffed with a curried-prawn mix. Crispy on the outside, juicy and oozing with flavors on the inside, this is probably the best bar snack to have with any cocktail or even chilled beer. I also liked the lovely kasundi spiked salad that was served on the side of this dish.

Girish Park-er Shoitan Deem: Devilled Egg, Kolkata style. Boiled eggs are cut in half, encased in a shammi kebab mince mixture and deep fried. This is as good as a scotch egg can ever be!

Hing Kachuri
For my vegetarian friends, the Hing-er Kachuri and Vivekananda Park Ghoogni are highly recommended as well. Their Lake Market Kabiraji is also excellent, and I have not had that crispy a kabiraji ever, and believe it or not, it wasn’t too oily!

We ended our meal with this beautiful Old Monk & Nutella Cake, which is a part of their regular menu.

Verdict: Monkey Bar has always been on my list of pubs which serve really good food, the ‘Next Stop Kolkata’ festival is a must visit for people who want to experience the goodness of Kolkata’s street food. While most of the dishes are adapted versions of classics, I love the fact that they have managed to retain the innate beauty of flavours of the originals. Highly Recommended!

We All Live in 'The Yellow Submarine'

Yellow Submarine Food Review
The liberation of Pepperland from the tyranny of the music-hating Blue Meanies, by the Beatles who defeat them with the power of music, is the plot of the movie, "The Yellow Submarine".  A phantasmagoric blend of colorful animation and the music of the Beatles, not unlike the place in question. The Yellow Submarine is a rooftop microbrewery on Bannerghatta Road, which pays homage to the movie and the music of its namesake, but can it live up to the standards set by the burgeoning microbrewery scene in bangalore? Let's find out.

Ambience
Yellow Submarine Ambience
The decor of this place is definitely as offbeat and cheerful as the film. The entrance to this place is actually like the hatch of a submarine, and as you get inside, the sheer magnificence of the color yellow is apparent everywhere. This place is huge, and seating options are aplenty including plush seats near the bar counter, to high tables overlooking the city or just a simple, round table under the starry Bangalore sky. From a lovely yellow bridge over a small fish pond to a huge sub-shaped-bar counter and a lovely panoramic view of the city, full marks needs to be given for the beautiful setup of this place.

Drinks

This place has 5 beers on tap (Belgian Wit/ Hefeweizen / IPA/ Butter Beer/ Porter), and while I didn't get a chance to try all of them, I liked the IPA and the Belgian Wit, where the styles and flavours were on point. However, I do think that they need to up their game to remain in competition with the better microbreweries like Arbour, Windmills or Biergarten.
Yellow Submarine Cocktail
Cocktails: They have a huge list of cocktails including some innovative ones and most of the classic ones. These two are from the Signature cocktail range, and I enjoyed these enormously.

Marooned: Served in a clay cup, whisky with jalapenos, cranberry juice and passion fruit syrup, and topped with a sprig of rosemary. This was a well-crafted whisky cocktail, and the sweetness of the passion fruit and the slight zing of jalapenos made this a really good combination.

Pirate Song: A rum based cocktail, this had gold rum, dry figs infused with dark rum, fresh mint and was topped with some soda. Another refreshing cocktail, perfect for Bangalore summers or sultry evenings!
Cocktail Yellow Submarine
Across the Universe: A vodka cocktail with betel leaves, rose petals, rose water, grenadine and mint-syrup. Almost sounds like vodka-flavoured Lucknowi paan! I enjoyed this drink, because these ingredient came together beautifully, and this was a refreshing drink.

Food

The food options here are varied and extensive, and cater to a wide range of tastes. From the more traditional chicken/paneer skewers to classic pub food like beer battered onion rings to experimental dishes like Samosa Hummus, there is a little something for everyone!

Ghost Pepper Chicken: For those who can't tolerate high spice levels, steer clear of this! This one hit the spot for me though, and the red-hot ghost peppers added zing to the well-cooked chicken pieces.

Club Style Mutton Vada: What do you get when mutton raan is served in a vada-like format with hot garlic chutney? An absolutely brilliant pub-grub!

Samosa Hummus: Crisp onion-jam stuffed samosas served with beetroot hummus which also had smoked paprika and pickled onions. This was a pretty unique combo, and one that went surprisingly well-together. Highly recommended!
Mutton Vada Yellow Submarine

24 Inch Wood Fired Pizza: Few places serve a pizza of this size, and even fewer do it as well as good as The Yellow Submarine. We ordered a half-in-half, veggies and BBQ chicken. As the enormouse pizza came in 15 minutes later, despite having had a bucket load of food, we couldn't stop ourselves on gorging on this delightful pizza. The perfect crust, cheese-to-sauce ratio and even spread out toppings, this wood-fired pizza was just about as perfect as it gets. A must order if you are in a larger group.

Yellow Submarine Dessert House Made Snicker Chocolate
House Made Snicker Chocolate: This beautifully plated dessert had salted caramel, a flourless sponge, choco-almond praline and white-chocolate mousse. It tasted as brilliant as it looked.

Verdict: While this place scores high in novelty points, the excellent and reasonably priced food is definitely a crowd-puller, I just wish they improve some of their brews. Highly recommended for its great food and brilliant ambience!

'Shift' >> To HSR Now!

How would it be if your favorite pub was right above the floor where you work? I am sure productivity would go to an All Time High! Shift has actually implemented this concept at HSR with a co-working space on one floor, and the pub on the two floors above it. How cool is that! A group of us headed over to this place post-work on a Wednesday evening, and here's the lowdown.

Location/Ambience:
Located right above the House of Commons and beside Punjabi Rasoi in Sector 3, HSR, this place is easy to find. They have an indoor-seating at a lower floor and an open rooftop setting as well. We decided to sit at the rooftop section, since it was a breezy evening. For a weekday, it was surprisingly full.

The décor here is chic and with a huge screen put up in one section, this is definitely a great place to catch IPL matches. They have several seating options as well, and we chose the high chairs, since they were at the corner and offered a good view of the screen. The place is airy, spacious and well-laid out, the only concern being the heat during day time.

F&B
Drinks
The drinks are fairly reasonably priced, and with an IPL offer of 1+1 on mugs, pitchers and towers, this is a bargain. Here are a few cocktails we tried:

Acharoska: Weird Name, you think? Wait till you taste this one, it will blow your socks off! This is a mojito with a twist of home-made lime/mango pickle. The aftertaste of pickle in this drink is brilliant, and those looking for an offbeat option will be pleasantly surprised by this one.

Jack Thomas: Here is one for the whisky overs. Whisky, black tea, rum and a wonderful mixture of fragrant spices make this a lovely cocktail to have!

Purple Haze: This stunner of a drink is a concoction of black currant syrup and vodka. Not my favorite drink, but several others in our group liked it, so choose carefully!

Food
While most pubs have limited options when it comes to food, Shift has an extensive menu, and super-quirky names to keep you on your toes. Also, the vegetarian food menu here is extensive departs  from the usual fare of paneer/baby corn/mushroom!

Dipspacito: This was the standout dish for our entire meal here, and even though it was a simple recipe, it was superbly put together. Slightly toasted fresh herbed garlic bread served with the most delicious dip ever. The dip was a cheesy delight with peppers, spinach mushrooms in a super-creamy base.

Cigaro: Another brilliant dish, these were crispy cigar shaped (spring) rolls filled with a delicious cheesy stuffing, which they call a ‘pizza stuffing’. I relished this one too!

I Malai to You: Their version of the malai chicken tikka, this dish was good too, and the succulent creamy chicken pieces went really well with our chilled Coronas.

Prawns Koliwada: These were prawns in the famous Koliwada marinade, and batter-fried. While the prawns were well cooked, I would have preferred a thinner layer of the batter on the prawns to do complete justice to the original

Mutton Pepper Fry: A staple dish for mutton lovers, the mutton pepper fry here was’t as spicy as I would like it. It was slightly sour and slightly spicy. The mutton was well-cooked and the quantity was decent, but a bit more sharpness from the peppers was expected!

Dessert:
For a place serving good food, dessert was the only course that disappointed me here. Some of the dishes need tweaking.

Coconut Malibu Panna-Cotta: This dish looked really pretty, but the consistency was way off in this one, and it sat there like a blob. Taste-wise not bad, but the texture was ruined, probably due to the use of too much of gelatin.

Nutella Pancake with Maple Syrup: This simple dish was the best dessert of the three that we tried, light and airy pancakes with a lovely Nutella spread and dollops of Maple Syrup tasted great!

Jok-e-Shai(Zauq-e-shahi): A pair of gulab jamuns with a layer of rabri separating the two. This was decent, but the jamuns were a tad bit over-fried.

Verdict:  A wonderful addition to the pubbing scene in HSR, this place is here to stay, and with competitive prices, good food options and offers on drinks, this place is worth a visit.

Foxtrot - The Pub with Character

Jive, Rumba, Cha Cha, Salsa…You might have heard of these famous dance styles. Foxtrot is another dance style which is similar to a Waltz, and became popular in the 50’s with Haley’s famous song, "Rock Around the Clock". How is this relevant you ask? Foxtrot is one of those unique places which exudes a character of its own, and I would even go as far as say that it is a one of its kind pub in Bangalore and it starts with the name. Here is why:

Location/Ambience:
Located in Marathahalli, the perennial pit stop for people all over Bangalore, this is not the kind of place you would expect to see here, and that it why, it is surely going to carve out a niche of its own.

As you enter this place, the first thing you notice would be the open bar, with the words Foxtrot emblazoned across the top of the bar counter with lights, in a typically retro style. This place is done up very differently, and has these private booths, done up in various themes which remind you of frat or sorority houses. The décor is ultra-chic and sophisticated and in –line with the theme of this place. The place is well-lit up, airy and is very well spaced out. It is mostly open-air, but there is an air-conditioned section which you could slip-
into to get away from the noise.

F & B:
Beverages: They have a huge selection of cocktails to choose from, with smoked-cocktails, gimmicky cocktails, Jell-O Shots, Liquor Popsicles and of course, the classics. While I could write an entire post just about the cocktails, I will stick to a shorter version. Here are some of my favorites:

Forest Fog: While this drink is presented dramatically, with a lovely smoke-filled dome covering it, the drink itself is pretty good. Whisky, Citrus and bitters with the lovely smoky flavor of hickory wood, this one is for the whisky lovers!

Sprouty G&T: While I love Gin and Tonic, this one took that humble combo to a different level. The lovely sprinkling of bitters and greens had completely neutralized the slight bitter tang of Tonic, and I loved it!

Cabo Mug-a-Rita: This one was one heck of a refreshing cocktail. Tequila, citrus and jalapeños smoked with Applewood and served with a lovely almond biscotti

A few cocktails worth a mention are the What a Match(a)( Matcha Tea , whisky, ginger syrup and  a dash of lime made up this one lovely cocktail) and Garden Fresh(If you like cucumber in your drinks, then this one will appeal to you. It had gin, cucumber, citrus, green apple and fresh mint)

Food:
Chaupati Bhel Bar:  Not an item I would generally review, but this Mumbai style bhel with a garlic chutney and desiccated coconut bits, blew my mind, both in terms of taste and presentation. Check it out for yourself in this pic.

Jerked Spice Cottage Cheese: Again, full marks for presentation and for the super-soft paneer in a nice-spicy-tangy coating.

Black Pepper Chicken Tikka:  Well-cooked chicken in a black pepper sauce, a good item, but nothing extraordinary.

Curry Leaf Prawns: Definitely, the dish of the day. Lovely medium prawn pieces cooked to perfection in a curry leave/coconut milk emulsion that had me drooling before I even started eating it! Excellent preparation.

Tellicherri Mutton Boti: This dish was a hit and a miss. While the minced mutton was well-cooked, all of us at the table found it to be a bit too bland and the recipe needs tweaking for sure.

A few other dishes worth mentioning were the Veg Platter (which had a delicious tandoori soya chaap among other items, which was enjoyed by everyone present) and the Lebanese Mezze(which was pretty authentic and had hummus, baba ganoush, fattoush with pita)

Desserts:
Mango Basil Bhapa Doi: Steamed Yogurt, with a mango dressing and garnished with basil, this was really pretty to look at. However, the slightly high acidity of the mango flavor used offset the sweetness of the curd, and I would say it was about average.

Hot Chocolate Fudge:  While we were not expecting something extraordinary, the presentation of this one delighted us. Gooey Hot Chocolate Fudge served with vanilla ice-cream and an assortment of nuts for company, this was really good. Do try this out!

Verdict: An oasis of sorts for the people of Marathahalli, this pub scores high on the Unclichéd quotient and the excellent ambience, brilliant presentation and quirky cocktails makes me want to visit this place more often. Do visit this, if you are in the mood for something experimental, and you will not be dissapointed!

Big Pitcher - The Massive Brewpub

I have been in Bangalore for the better part of 7 years, and surprisingly, I hadn’t visited this place, until recently. I had a fun time here, and here is how it went.

Location/Ambience:
Located on the Old Airport Road, opposite Zaitoon, this place is hard to miss. As I entered this place, it struck me, this place is huge! Spread over 6 floors, with each floor having a distinct theme, this place is suited to a wide variety of occasions. The top floor is the Star Lounge, which is a rooftop place with a more intimate seating. The Fourth Floor features a huge-dance floor, and is suited for those looking to get their groove on.

We were there on the launch of the new menu, and sat at the third floor, where an Oriental Buffet was in progress. The ambience was cool, relaxed and airy. They have a separate indoor section for private booking, if you so please.

F & B:
Drinks: Being a micro-brewery, I wanted to start off on the right foot, and ordered a beer sampler. They have six beers on tap currently, including Sarava, Hop Witch, Adjust Maadi and Kingslayer. However, they had a unique seasonal beer, which I really liked. This had a combination of herbs and kokum juice, and it was a really refreshing summer beer, however, I am not sure if it would be very sessionable, owing to the myriad flavors it had and might not go well with a lot of dishes as well.

Cocktails: They have a really interesting line-up of cocktails including a new set called, Desi cocktails which had Indian flavors in them, including Shake Chilli(A guava based cocktail with the kick of chaat masala and vodka) and Ek Dum Jhakkas(which was like a masala lime soda with liquor) Here are a few of the more memorable ones:

High Seas Adventure: This was a vodka-based cocktail along with vanilla, coconut milk and topped with cinnamon and star anise. Mild and refreshing because of the coconut flavors, and a slight zing of vodka, this wasn’t bad!

The Big Pitcher: This is their signature cocktail which is a combo of brandy, port wine, black tea, blue curacao, lime juice and garnished with a fruit medley on a stick. This one is good if you are in a group, and makes for an interesting drink!

Flaming Ferrari Shots: Vodka, Triple Sec, Blue Curacao and Grenadine, presented, such than it is completely transparent, with a thin red-streak in the center (Ferrari-like!).

Food: The menu here is vast and actually differs on each floor. We had a selection of items from the new menu, and most of them tasted pretty good.

Starters:
Seafood Chowder: This one is definitely a house favorite with the right amount of creaminess and the hint of seafood smell coming through. Loved this!

Brawny-Prawny: This one was hands down, the prettiest dish of the day. These prawns were perfectly cooked and were tangy with a hint of spiciness. Another winner!

Angaari Khatarnak Murgh: As the name suggests, these were spicy chicken pieces cooked in a tandoor and had the flavor of curry leaves. Though presentation wasn’t too good, they tasted nice.

Mains:

Beef Hamilton: A main course item, these were beautifully cooked beef pieces, cooked in a peppery-mushroom sauce. Though the quantity was on the lower side, the taste more than made up for it. It was served with a piece of bread, mashed potatoes and veggies.

Corn and Asparagus Crepe: Crepes are easy to get wrong. However, this delightful dish from Big Pitcher was spot on, and the herbed cream cheese on top made all the difference. Highly recommended for vegetarians!

Desserts:
Tiramisu: Lovely soft layers of cake with a subtle taste of coffee, I really liked this one, and especially the presentation.

Double-Caramel Baked Cheesecake: I was expecting a lot from this one, however, this dish was just average. I suspect, the caramel topping might be the culprit here, being too sticky to handle for a cheesecake.

Verdict: Be it on a date, a group of friends looking to have a fun time, or people who would like to put on their dancing shoes, this place caters to everyone. With a huge selection of dishes and cocktails to choose from, Big Pitcher has a little something to suit all palates. The pricing is also on the average side and if you have Zomato Gold, it would be an even better deal.

The Terminus-Crowne Plaza

Having stayed in Electronic city for the better part of 2 years, a visit to Terminus after almost half-a decade, brought back a lot of memories, and it turned out to be an evening to remember with some lip-smacking dishes, presented very uniquely. More on that later. Here is the review:

Location/Ambience:
Located on one of the higher floors of Crowne Plaza, opposite the Infosys Gate 6/Bus Stand, this place is easy to spot. The location is probably a double edged sword here, since few pubs in e-city means that people would consider this an option, but being in a star-rated hotel, the prices are on the higher side too.

The ambience here is understated, and that is probably not such a bad thing. Themed around a terminal (probably the London Terminal) with a pool-table, open-360 degree bar counter, dim lighting, this place gives off a distinct English pub vibe, and the seating near the edges have a magnificent view of the surroundings.

Food:
We got to taste a newly-launched menu, under the able guidance of Chef Suvaranjan Banerjee, and it was a pretty interesting tasting session. One unique aspect of the dishes, was the presentation, where a variety of toys (several of them from Channapatna too!) was used to serve the dishes on. While the food was pretty good overall, serving it in such a manner requires a different mindset, starting from the cooking to plating, we were impressed by most of the dishes presented to us. Another good part was the balance of Veg. and Non-Vegetarian dishes, and they didn’t disappoint either.

Here are some of the dishes we sampled:

Chip n Dip’- As simple as it sounds, this vegetarian appetizer contained Wedges of Potato, Sweet Potato and Tapioca, crisply fried and beautifully presented in paper cones, atop a ‘cone-stand’ if you will with a mayo-peri-peri dip on the side. All the three variants were yummy, though my personal favorite was the sweet potato one, sweet-spicy fried goodness.

Calamari Kurkure’ – Tender Rings of Calamari, crumb-fried and served with an amazing curry-leaf-curd dip, was definitely the appetizer of the day.

Galauti Dragon Roll’- It’s not often that you hear a fusion of Awadhi/Mughlai and Chinese Cuisine. This was a true-blue galauti kebab from Lucknow, deep-fried in a spring-roll avatar, and I really like the combination.

BBQ Cottage-Cheese Steak’: Vegetarian Steaks is almost like an oxymoron, but this was a nice attempt at using the sizzling plate with paneer. It was served with delicious cheese stuffed-cherry tomatoes which I really enjoyed and the cottage-cheese-bbq sauce combination works really well, so I enjoyed this dish overall.

XXL Burger’- As the name suggests, a ginormous chicken patty encased in a super-soft bun which was baked in-house, this is a dream come true for a chicken-burger lover. Served with the standard fries and slaw.

Desserts:
Drunken Volcano: With a zany name, this was the usual sizzling chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream, nothing spectacular, but not bad either. The brownie was fresh, and the quality of chocolate used was pretty good, so a win-win dish for chocolate lovers.

Kulfi: This had two variants, one the traditional kesar-pista kulfi, and another one with a hint of gulkand. Both were very well made and liked by everyone present. Definitely a winner in the dessert section.

Verdict: This is one place you shouldn’t miss, if you are looking for a good pub to hangout in Electronic City. Old-English vibes, dim lighting, great-views, plenty of events (Retro Nights, Karaoke, etc), a spacious-rooftop style air smoking zone and good food ensure this place stays on your EC Wishlist!
